2 Days left!!!!

Happy Crazy Hair Day! There were some cool and crazy hair-dos.
We only have 2 more days left until Spring Break!!!

Remember: Tomorrow we have Founder's Day at Grace Church. The only thing you need to bring is a lunch only IF you are not getting a pizza lunch. Tomorrow is a uniform day.

Friday is 60's and 70's Day. A blast from the past!!! We also have the middle school students versus faculty in soccer. So remember to bring shoes to play soccer in (ask Mr. Musgrove about what is appropriate to play in as far as clothes go).

Algebra: Today we continued to factor polynomials completely. Tomorrow and Friday we will be reviewing chapter 9.

Unit test is Tuesday, 3/31 (will change if needed)

HW: None. But don't forget you have homework due Friday.

Pre-algebra: Today we looked at Function Notation. f (x) is read as f of x.
f(x) = mx + b
y = mx + b

f(x) is in the same position as y.

So, if the question is are asking for you to find f (x), you plug in your x value and solve for f (x).
If the question is asking you to find the value of x, plug in f (x) and solve for x.

Math I and II: Today we simplified expressions. Expressions don't have equal signs. We combine like terms to reduce to lowest terms.

Like terms: 3x, -50x, 1/2x, -22x, -x, x
3, -25, -64, 29
2b, -2b, 43b

Not like terms: 2x, -2y
4, 4x, 3y

HW: None. But don't forget about your Study Guide for your unit test. It's not due until after Spring Break but do you really want to leave it to the last minute? Don't answer that question!
