Tomorrow, we are celebrating Pi Day!

Algebra: Today, we continued to factor ax-squared + bx + c. We then started to look at factoring special products. We will continue to look at special products on Monday.

HW is 9.6 in the workbook: #'s 7, 9, 11, 19, 21, 23, 29, 31, 33, 34, 36

Tomorrow we are celebrating Pi day after a short quiz.

Pre-algebra: Today, we continued to look at slope-intercept form. We found out how to write a perpendicular and parallel equation with a given equation.

Homework: Pg 415 13-16, 22-27, 28-31, 42-45

Tomorrow we are celebrating Pi day after a short quiz.

Math I and Math II: Today, we learned how to solve simple equations. The objective is to isolate the unknown (whether that is a variable or object). We add or subtract and multiple or divide to find the solution.

Hint on Homework: Instead of subtracting numbers (like we did in class), you are subtracting objects. So, in #1, You will take two balls away from each side leaving 0 balls on the left side and 3 balls on the right side. Next, you want to take away 4 coins on the right side and 4 from the left side. That leaves you with 3 coins on the left side and three balls on the right side. That means 1 ball = 1 coin.
Do this same technique with the other three problems. If the variables are confusing you, you can either write out all of the y's and x's or draw a shape in their place.

Hope that helped.

Homework was SL 6.9
